What wheelset mtb – Crossride Mavic or Shimano XT disc / Mavic 717 disk rims?
I weigh about 225 pounds and ride on moderate terrain, without big jumps or falls. They mounted a Super BMC time. Both are models of 08 and will stay in the range of less than $ 300. The Crossride and there are mixed views isn't any real comments XT wheels. Any thoughts or ideas would be great.
Of the two, I'd go for the Shimano hubs …. are very durable and have no troublesome issues and problems of availability of parts to Mavic wheels. Mavic freehub body is irritating and requires constant attention. I have a set of Crosstrails And Mavic wheels are fine, but when I give up I will not buy from them again …. also many other great center designs out there that do not need services as they do. You can enter a set of wheels or azonic difficult transition, too, for $ 240 and $ 280 respectively (A bandit rpm and.) Check before you buy. At its weight, which will handle most of the rocks and rough trails can throw at them and not too heavy.
